In 2008,
some retailers capped and set quantity limits
on wood pellet fuel retail sales. While there
may have seemed to be a production shortage to
meet consumer demand, pellet fuel hoarding was
taking place by some consumers. Hoarding wood
pellet fuel is the act of stocking more fuel than
what a consumer uses in one heating season. This
rude act by some only added a mask to the so called
2008 fuel shortage certain areas of the USA.
